Will Rogan “A kestrel flew past the window”
A Kestrel swooped down the past the window, snatching one of the birds as it flew by, disappearing with the two sets of wings. There was a look in her eyes that I recognized, a look that conveys an understanding that nobody could ever understand how beautiful this was. -WR
The gallery is pleased to announce our fifth solo exhibition with Vermont based artist, Will Rogan. Rogan’s past exhibitions include SCAI Piramide, Tokyo (2023) the Berkeley Art Museum, Berkeley, CA (2014), CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, San Francisco, CA (2012) and the Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2007). Rogan’s work, executed in the media of film, photography and sculpture, embraces the world, its mysteries and facts, in an open, often gently humorous manner. The present exhibition engages the viewer in a self-referential play of seeing and being and serves as homage to the force of maternal orbit.
